I know it is just the beginning but I have been going around and around with getting Approved with MNCare. Sounds Pretty easy to get but when it gets down to it they keep asking for more and more things. Finally approved today and now I wait for whatever stuff they say they are sending me. I have to Pay my Premium by the end of Month and my Insurance starts Aug 1. Does anyone know what goes on from here on out for all my Insurance stuff? I have no clue about this stuff. I just am hoping that Surgery is covered. I have been told so many different things its so confusing. I was told that I have to pick if I want BCBS, UCare and another one. I know I have to Pick one of them. If you know what would be best and the next step Please let me know what to do. I have been waiting for this for so long..Thank You

You have a choice between BCBS, UCare and Health Partners.  You need to review which insurances cover the clinics you want to go to and choose from there.  I know that Health Partners and BCBS cover the surgery, but you will need to call the insurance companies and see what their requirements are that you will need to complete before getting the surgery done.

Best of Luck!

Make sure you ask them AND MNCare what the annual cap is for hospitalization/surgeries.  It used to be $10,000 - that was last year, but with all the changes, it may be different now.

Best of luck to you.

Kelly I talked to them today and they put me on the Basic Plus 2  and I pick a Plan when I get the Packet in the Mail in a couple days. Basic Plus 2 has no cap on Hospitalization. Basic Plus has a Cap. I was so Happy to hear that. Now from what I find is that Healthpartners I should not have a problem with having the surgery. I already looked at their Qualifications and a Checklist that they have to do on me to see if I qualify. BCBS looked too complicated for Approval. Now I have to wait for the Packet to see what Hospital is in Network for me. I want to go to Abbott. I dont know I am researching it all yet and finding the right Hospital and Surgeon. Any Ideas anyone on this. Thank You
